Apocalypse: understanding the book of Revelation by Dr Andrew C S Koh
Synopsis
Rev. Ng Wah Lok, Former principal Tung Ling Seminary, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
There are many books written on the book of Revelation, some going deep into its theology which is difficult to read, and others with detailed charts, presenting various timelines on how Jesus’ second coming will emerge and how human history will end. “Revelation” by Dr. Andrew Koh, written during the COVID pandemic is different from these books. He presents Revelation in a simple way, basically for the layperson to read. He explains every passage and gives his views on who are the personalities in the passages and what they are doing. He also gives bible cross-references to defend his views.
There are 22 chapters and for each chapter, there is an application and prayer. So he has approached this book devotionally with a target to bring a life change to believers. The book is good for a cell bible study. You can read a chapter for each cell meeting and have a group discussion to discuss the alternative views. Revelation is a difficult book but Andrew Koh has written a book for easy reading and presented his perspective and point of view clearly.
