Synopsis
Nine Perfect Strangers: Chapter Sampler by Liane Moriarty: Conversation Starters
Masha is the guru and spa owner whose ways are bizarre and unexpected. She is a Russian immigrant and wants everybody to be enlightened and transformed. She is starting with the nine strangers who have come to her health resort, Tranquillum. They have different reasons to be there but all face health and life issues that they hopefully want to be resolved at the resort. They all have their own emotional wounds, are unhappy with themselves, or trying to avoid making important life decisions. They did not anticipate a resort regimen that is strict and demanding, but their guru wants nothing less from them.
Liane Moriarty is the author of Truly Madly Guilty and Big Little Lies which was turned into an HBO series starred by Nicole Kidman and Reese Witherspoon. The series won eight Emmy awards in 2017. Nine Perfect Stranger is her eighth novel and its screen rights are bought by Nicole Kidman's production company.
